The interlocking puzzle piece sample is used for both IMS lab member training exercises to become experienced with Esprit Wire-cut EDM toolpath creation as well as machine tool setup and operation procedures. The sample is also used to instruce undergraduate students on the fundamentals of EDM technology and to demonstrate the high precision which is possible using the technology for tight clearance applications.
