The miniature titanium Eiffel tower project is used as a training mechanism for new undergraduate interns who are interested in manufacturing, specifically in the area of non-traditional machining processes like Wire-cut EDM. Students are responsible for preparing stock material, creating toolpaths using Esprit CAM, creating start holes using a small hole EDM, setting up the WEDM and then executing the prepared NC data.
